NLZIET is the leading streaming platform for Dutch TV, uniquely offering live and on-demand content from all major broadcasters in one place. Built for people who want more control over what they watch, what they pay for a TV subscription, and how they watch it. NLZIET is streamed over the internet instead of through traditional cable.

As an independent joint venture between the country’s biggest networks, NLZIET plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Dutch television. It’s a fast-growing player in a complex market, with a presence across smart TVs, apps, and browsers, all designed to keep viewers connected to the shows they love.

The challenge

By the time Familiar was brought in, NLZIET had grown rapidly but its brand and user experience hadn’t kept up. The visual identity was fragmented, the product design lacked clarity, and overall design quality was inconsistent across touchpoints. Familiar stepped in to elevate the creative direction across both product and marketing.

Within the NLZIET product team, we led a full visual and UX redesign of the platform, helping launch a major new version that felt more intuitive, cohesive, and premium. Later on, the marketing team brought us on to redesign their sales website and align their tone of voice. This helped strengthen brand and campaign output, creating one unified story across product and promotion.

Keeping tabs

While our role at NLZIET has become smaller over time, we’re still involved behind the scenes. We regularly support their marketing team with visuals for campaigns, social content, and sales materials.

Whenever needed, we step in to fine-tune designs or offer guidance on creative direction. It helps keep things consistent and on-brand, even as the team evolves.
